Tag Works Srl was founded in 2021 and operates in the field of industrial plant design. The services we offer to our customers include integrated engineering design, from strategy definitions and development of preliminary drawings to detailed drawings, using the collaboration of professionals and advanced 3D software. Our ambition is to provide our clients with effective solutions, attention to detail and the coordination of all disciplines and actors involved, to ensure the success of each project.

We are Roberto and Uberto, two engineers. We used to work together at another firm that closed when the boss retired. We decided to go into partnership and continue doing the same things we were doing with him, i.e. designing industrial plants. We mainly work on chemicals: most of our clients gravitate around the industrial poles of Ferrara, Mantua, Ravenna; realities that deal with plastics, fertilizers, chemical processes, so we get the scheme and we have to design the layout of a plant of some kind. To make it simple, let’s say that the chemist has the idea of the process he wants to do and we are the ones who have to transform it into a concrete object.

Well, we are certainly dealing with a very complex job, but one that also gives a lot of satisfaction because you see the result of your ideas become concrete, tangible. We really like to work for areas related to sustainability, and we are pleased to see that our clients are also oriented towards the future: that’s the way forward. In the future, we would like to work only for those who propose environmentally sustainable projects, but at the moment many processes are still traditional.

For both of us, it came about a bit by chance. In the beginning, we didn’t really know what this job consisted of, because here in Bologna there are no schools that train you for this specific profession. At first, we were a bit scared because we saw tables and drawings with so much information superimposed on each other. Gradually we got used to these tools and we appreciated the great variety of this job.

We founded this company at the beginning of 2021, so for the first few days we were forced to work at home, we didn’t have a location. We then learned that DumBO would have created the possibility of coworking, and this immediately seemed like a good environment. We discovered a very stimulating context for our activities, where we can create collaborations, network or even just meet new people during our lunch break.
